Interactive multimedia was a logical extension of Nygren's photographic skills. After attending Boston University's Photojournalism program, his work began to use multiple mediums; culminating into a whole, and becoming a total sensual experience of the story telling.

"The idea that you could integrate video, photography, sound, and personal interactivity into a unified whole was a real revelation and revolution. It was a new kind of story telling that changed everything, book publishing, movies, music. All integrated into a whole."

Nygren retired from the Springfield Police Dept. See the History of Community Policing video where Nygren did numerous Flash interface movies for the special done by local news channel.

He has done tactical virtual tours of local high schools in Springfield to aide officers in case of emergencies. (Viewing of Virtual Tour available to Law Enforcement Agencies upon request.)
