Interactive multimedia was a logical extension of Nygren's photographic skills. After attending Boston University's Photojournalism program, his work began to use multiple mediums; culminating into a whole, and becoming a total sensual experience of the story telling. "The idea that you could integrate video, photography, sound, and personal interactivity into a unified whole was a real revelation and revolution. It was a new kind of story telling that changed everything, book publishing, movies, music. All integrated into a whole."
